Green Star Interiors rates the sustainable design and construction of any building fitout works. The Interiors rating tool aims to assist clients and project teams to objectively rate their projects and achieve sustainability goals.

The tool provides a framework with clear guidelines to assist in designing and constructing a sustainable fitout. It encourages a new approach to designing and constructing fitouts by rewarding sustainability best practice and excellence. It also provides consistent and clear advice in an easy-to-use manner.

This newly created course is a must-have for professionals currently using this tool or planning to use it in the near future. By completing this training, you will be positioned to confidently deliver projects under this tool. 

This course will cover:

• Scope of Green Star Interiors tool
• How to put together a good submission
• How the tool rewards great material choices
• How to have the project’s innovation rewarded
• Green Star Fitouts and the future
• Credits including GHG, potable water, LCA, Sustainable Products and Innovation

This course covers the current tool, however we will cover the current plans and development for Green Star Fitouts.

Green Star Fitouts will be the next generation of Green Star – Interiors and aims to be a simplified framework which will help applicants navigate how to create a sustainable fitout and get it certified by the GBCA. The development of Green Star Fitouts will run until late 2024 – early 2025.
