The Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) is responsible for state-owned Vocational Education and Training (VET) infrastructure across Queensland. DTET owns and manages over 40 training campuses across Queensland. In modernising TAFE Queensland training delivery, DTET is actively pursuing opportunities to transform these sites from training spaces to community hubs, where people meet, exchange ideas and information both formally through TAFE Queensland training, and informally through social peer learning. Revitalising state-owned training infrastructure is an investment in the future skills and productivity of the State’s workforce. DTET continues to modernise and establish training spaces for long term community benefit due to ever-changing demographics, industry and student training demands.
