Glen Eira City Council is a local government authority in Victoria committed to strong and fast action on climate change. In May 2020, Council declared a climate emergency and joined the growing movement calling for urgent action to address climate change. Glen Eira City Council has also set ambitious new carbon emissions reduction targets of zero net corporate emissions by 2025 and zero net community emissions by 2030.
