Responsible Products for Project Teams

Choosing responsible products goes beyond thinking about the operational efficiency of buildings and starts to have systemic impacts across entire supply chains.

GBCA’s Responsible Products framework awards credits when products with lower environmental and social impacts are used in Green Star projects. This positive impact extends beyond your project, promoting a sustainable economy and driving change throughout the entire supply chain. It’s a key part of demonstrating leadership and achieving a truly high-performing, sustainable building.

How to engage with the Responsible Products Framework as a Green Star project:

  1. Choose the responsible products credits you’d like to target.
  2. Use the Responsible Products Score Checker to search for product certification initiatives that recognise products and materials. You might like to check out their databases.
  3. Procure and collect product certificates for your submission.
  4. Input products into the Responsible Products Calculator as part of your Green Star submission.
