Ecomplish is an independent provider of sustainability services and specialises in the residential (sustainable housing, multi-residential and communities), commercial, hospitality and education sectors. The business was founded in 2005 and works throughout Australia for clients such as Mirvac, VillaWorld, Sekisui House and Hassell. Our vision is to facilitate environmentally sustainable development using intelligent, practical and innovative design. We focus on providing clients with impartial technical advice related to energy, water, waste, transport, health and materials, often via design reviews, sustainability assessments or rating tool submissions. For specific engagements we partner with other planning and design consultants to provide a collaborative approach, to maximise the opportunities and outcomes for projects. Ecomplish Director Ben O’Callaghan, has 20 years of experience in the property sector. In 2011, Ben was a finalist in the Queensland Minister’s Award for ClimateSmart Leadership. He has published academic papers on sustainable development, occupant impacts and utility consumption and spoken at several conferences around the world. Ben has worked on several leading Australian development projects as a Green Star Accredited Professional for universities, commercial offices and Australia’s first ‘Sustainable Community’ development, targeting a 6 Star (Green Star) rating. Ben has had practical experience working on Australia’s most awarded sustainable residential community, the Ecovillage at Currumbin, and building an award-winning energy efficient house in 2009. As a result, Ecomplish is well qualified to provide high quality, cost effective and timely advice to maximise economically sustainable outcomes. Ben has been an Assessor of COMMUNITIES projects for the GBCA for over 10 years, making him one of the most knowledgeable Assessors in Australia, which saves our clients a lot of time and money.
